By using RemoWake you agree to these terms. If you do not, do not use the app.
RemoWake lets one person — the organiser — set reminders that appear at a chosen time on another person's phone: waking, taking tablets, an appointment. The other person — the recipient — sees each proposal and accepts or declines it. Accepted reminders sound on the recipient's phone at the time set.
It is a convenience tool for two people who have agreed to use it together.
RemoWake is not a medical device, a medical alert system, or a care service.
Do not rely on RemoWake for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm. A reminder about medication is a note from a family member, not a medical instruction, and it is not a substitute for a care plan, a pill organiser, a clinician, or a person.
A reminder can fail to sound for reasons entirely outside our control: the phone is off, out of battery, damaged or lost; iOS revokes a permission or an update clears scheduled alarms; the volume is turned down with the side buttons; the app is deleted. Some of these are invisible from a distance.
We do everything we reasonably can — reminders are placed into the system up to 30 days ahead so they still sound when our servers, your subscription or the internet are unavailable — but we do not and cannot guarantee that a reminder will sound.
The recipient's agreement is not a formality. It is how the app stays lawful and decent.
You must not use RemoWake to monitor, pressure or control an adult who has not freely agreed to it, or who has asked you to stop. Doing so breaks these terms, and we will disable the pairing on becoming aware of it.
You are responsible for the text you send. Do not send anything unlawful, abusive, or intended to distress.
No email address or password is required. A phone is identified by a random identifier generated on the device, and two phones are joined by a six-digit code the organiser reads out.
Consequences worth knowing:
Where a paid subscription is offered:
If a subscription lapses, reminders already accepted and already placed on the recipient's phone continue to sound. What stops is the ability to set new ones or change existing ones. We consider it wrong to switch off someone's morning alarm because a card expired, and the app is built so that we cannot.
The app, its design and its content are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. You may not copy, decompile or resell it.
The reminders you write remain yours. We store and deliver them and do nothing else with them.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RemoWake is provided as is, without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from a reminder that failed to sound, arrived late, or was not acted on.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Consumers keep every right their local law gives them. Nothing in these terms reduces those rights.
You may stop using RemoWake and delete your data from within the app at any time.
We may suspend or end access where these terms are broken — in particular §3, use without the recipient's agreement.
We may update these terms. Material changes are shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use RemoWake after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country in which you live.
